The Penn State Schedule of Courses is refreshed each morning (7:00 a.m. ET). The number of seats remaining is updated hourly. Each campus develops its own course schedule. Real-time information on available course sections may be obtained using the eLion Registration application. The University reserves the right to drop any course because of insufficient enrollment or for any other valid reason.

Main Course Search

This search requires the selection of a semester, campus, and one of the course options.

Searchable Items:
Semester

Select the semester you wish to view.

Campus Refers to a Penn State campus, one entry must be selected.
Location Select one of the locations where the selected campus offers courses, or select "All" to view all locations offerings.
Course Abbreviation/Name

Select from a list of courses offered for the semester and location selected.

Course Number (optional) This field is optional. Select from a list of course numbers based on course abbreviation/name selected. Defaults to All.
Course Title Select from a list of short course titles offered for the semester and location selected.
First Letter of Course Name If you are not familiar with the correct course abbreviation or course number, select this option to view a complete alphabetical list of course names.

Advanced Course Search

This search gives you the ability to search by specific criteria. Semester, campus and one or more of the detailed search items are required.

Searchable Items:

Location

Select one of the locations where the selected campus offers courses, or select "All" to
view all locations offerings.

Open Sections Only Displays only those sections that have space available for registration.
General Education Courses Allows you to select a specific General Education code to display courses that fulfill the selected requirements.

First-Year Seminar Courses Courses that meet the first-year seminar requirement.
Web Courses Displays courses that are offered entirely through the Internet.
U.S. Culture Courses that provide opportunities to increase understanding of contemporary United States society.
International Cultures Courses that provide opportunities to increase knowledge of the variety of international societies and
may deal to some extent with U.S. culture in its international connections.
Other Cultures Courses that meet the "Bachelor of Arts-Other Cultures" requirement.
